October 10, 2006
The CCET Board of Directors met in Dallas, Texas at the offices of TXU Electric Delivery. The Board heard proposals for funding on a number of projects. The Technical Advisory Group presented several proposals including RTU Design, Smart Meters Enhancement and Demand Response Pilot projects. National Instruments and Direct Energy joined as full members and were added to the Board of Directors by vote of the Board. TXU Energy joined as an Affiliate member. Approximately 35 people attended the meeting.
During November 2006 Intel, GridPoint and Itron joined CCET as Affiliate members.
July 13, 2006
The CCET Board of Directors met in Austin, Texas at the North Austin offices of National Instruments. The Board heard from the members of the Technical Advisory Group on several project proposals. Dr. T of National Instruments presented a background overview of National Instruments‚ capabilities in the electric industry.
April 3, 2006
The CCET Board of Directors met in Houston, Texas at the offices of CenterPoint Energy. The Board considered management issues and heard several project proposals, including a project on Synchronized Sampling for Substation Applications, Smart Meters, Optical Current Sensor and a Battery Storage application. The Board hear from Phil Wilson of the Governor‚s Office of Emerging Technologies and Guy Dietrich of the Texas A&M Systems Office of Technology Commercialization. The Board voted to fund the first of project proposals, a project dealing with technologies that help enable the smart grid of the futureSynchronized Sampling for Substation Applications. Approximately 38 people attended. A new member, Austin Energy joined the CCET as a full member and was added to the Board of Directors.

The CCET Board of Directors met by conference call to discuss and decide on an NDA policy and to consider funding of several projects.
January 24, 2006
The CCET Board of Directors met in Austin, Texas on January 24 at IBM´s facilities in North Austin. In addition to addressing CCET policies of management of projects and Intellectual Property concerns the Board heard a series of project proposals from the Technical Advisory Group. The Board heard from Pike Powers of Fulbright & Jaworski, who serves as a member of the Governor‚s Advisory Committee for the Office of Emerging Technologies. During the noon period the group toured the IBM Lab that is equipped with many smart system features for the home and business of the future. Approximately 35 people attended.
