Overview - CCET Governing and Affiliated Participants

Texas is fortunate to be home to a wealth of energy and technology expertise - an advantage that is the focus of Center for the Commercialization of Electric Technologies (CCET). CCET brings together electric industries, high-tech companies, research companies, and university researchers to find technology solutions to challenges facing the Texas electrical power industry.

Participants include utilities that own or operate transmission and/or distribution facilities in Texas such as Oncor Electric Delivery, CenterPoint Energy, and AEP Texas, retail electric providers, such as Austin Energy, TXU Energy, and Reliant Energy, technology companies, such as National Instruments and IBM, and research companies such as Southwest Research Institute and Electric Power Group that are invested in the research, development and commercialization of new electric technologies. University participants include the University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas at Arlington, Texas A&M University, The University of Houston, and Texas Tech University. Other organizations that are committed to CCET's objectives are encouraged to consider joining the enterprise.
